Investors Group presents Canstruction Winnipeg
Building a world-record food drive
It weighed-in at 176 tons and helped fight hunger in our community.
It was confirmed on June 5 that, thanks to last October’s city-wide food drive, Winnipeg now officially holds the Guinness World Record for the most food collected in a 24-hour period!
The 2007 world-record food drive was kicked off with the Investors Group Canstruction Winnipeg project – an international competition combining a “design-and-build” project with a unique way to feed hungry people.
This year, Polo Park Shopping Centre will once again be hosting the giant sculptures made entirely out of canned foods from October 2-11. Stop by to be amazed, bring a can of food and vote for your favourite!

This year's sculptures
Nine teams are confirmed so far for the 2008 InvestorsGroup Canstruction Winnipeg “design-and-build” competition. Led by architects, engineers, designers and contractors, these teams will showcase their talents by designing giant sculptures made entirely out of canned foods on display at Polo Park Shopping Centre.
